Background

I joined the AIɫɫ community in June 2025 as the Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students. In this role, I provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the Division of Student Life, overseeing the student experience beyond the classroom and guiding the work of the Dean of Students Office. I am deeply passionate about student affairs and the transformative impact it can have on both individual lives and campus communities.

For more than 20 years, I have been a student-centered practitioner dedicated to fostering environments where every student can thrive. Much of my work has centered on the residential experience, student success, and leadership development. I’ve had the privilege of working at small liberal arts colleges, where I developed a strong foundation in student development theory, leadership, and student-centered practices and my research focuses on students’ sense of belonging on campus.

Throughout my academic and professional journey, I’ve always been drawn to the stories, goals, and challenges that shape each student’s path. Whether mentoring student leaders, supporting first-generation college students, or planning campus-wide initiatives, I find purpose in helping every student succeed.

You can often find me at programs and events across campus, connecting with students and celebrating the many ways they contribute to the Davidson community.
